I'm Back

Yes, the little Dell now has a new brand new hard drive. We couldn't salvage ANYTHING from the old drive. Turns-out, it was a power surge or some kind of power problem that fried the old drive, according to my repair fellow. He said it was highly unlikely that I picked-up a virus that would actually fry the hard drive that completely. He recommended a battery back-up thingy that I've had in the past, but now the computer is only on a surge protector power bar. Another question arises, we knew we had a power problem on Saturday because we had to reset the compressor on the AC, however, why didn't Cory's computer (which is ALWAYS on) affected like mine? Oh, I know why--Cory's computer is four years old and mine was 14 months old with a newly expired warranty.

Bummer and Double Bummer

My Dell croaked. Yes, I kept-up with my virus protection, religiously. Yes, I scanned for bots and adware. Yes, just two months after my factory warranty expired a virus fried my hard drive. Dell says it has bad sectors and is going to have to be replaced. Yes, I'll lose all my documents. Stupid, stupid, stupid, I hadn't made a back-up lately. Luckily, I DID back-up all my digital pictures yesterday afternoon just before the crash. Is it just me or does everyone have a love/hate relationship with their computer? Only thing worse than frying your hard drive is having your car break down. Now THAT'S a bummer. It's not like I've been posting every day or anything, but now that I have to borrow time on Cory's computer, I will miss my little blog. I SHALL return!

Two New Knees and Looking GREAT!

My mother, Patty Lou

Herding

One more because it reminds me of a story my dad told about going down into the coal mines. He said you can get a headache after hours in the mine and the only way to get relief is with a donut.
This video is in a similar vein.
