I kept trying to find "snippets" of Ann Coulter's latest column to blog, but every word is worth reading. Obama Campaign Gives Up On Finding 'Mr. Wright' - HUMAN EVENTS. Some of this is so funny it's sad.

Me Too!

But kudos to Hillary for agreeing to take an interview with Bill O'Reilly's "The Factor" at Fox News. Obama got thrown a few hard balls but mostly soft balls with Chris Wallace. Good for both of them.
Frankly, I never understood how we could expect either of them (or Democrats in general) to stand-up to terrorists if they were afraid of Fox News.

Will This Be MY First Election To Sit It Out?
You know I seldom post quotes from Patrick J Buchanan, but golly, folks--
when he's right, he's right. From his column "Will The Right Sit It Out?"
"What does a McCain victory mean for conservatives?
Probably a veto on tax hikes and perhaps a fifth justice like Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito or John Roberts, to turn two pair into a full house. Fifty years after Warren, it could be game, set, match for the right.
But McCain may also mean more Middle East wars, more bellicosity, more manufacturing jobs lost, malingering in the culture wars, and more illegal aliens and amnesty. In Pennsylvania, thousands of Republicans re-registered to vote Democratic, and 27 percent of the GOP votes went to Mike Huckabee or Ron Paul.
McCain may just stretch this rubber band so far it snaps back in his face."

Anniversary?
This coming July17th I'll have blogged for three years. Happy Anniversary to me. It's been hot and cold, funny and depressing and boring and interesting (to me). Mostly just me talking to me. Even though I blog less frequently now, it's still a worthwhile endeavor. It's like opinions and backsides, everyone has one.
Speaking of Britain
She can stay there and use her fake English accent.
(Although it's rumoured she's moving back to the US.)

Required Reading
Again Mark Steyn is a MUST-READ!
One responder says:
''In order for you to put biofuel in your Prius and feel good about yourself for no reason, real actual people in faraway places have to starve to death.''
Have a nice day.

New And Almost New Girls
This is Sheba. Brooke talked me into saving this baby at the rescue. She's about three years old according to the vet. She already had the name Sheba, so I didn't think it was fair to rename her. She isn't very Sheba-like, but she's very sweet and drives Lucy to distraction. Lucy is still somewhat jealous, but she's getting used to Sheba the way she warmed to Dixie. Hopefully the sisters will soon be friends.

New Sidebar
I began a new sidebar on my blog with a list of Music Blog Aggregators. I use these sites to fetch new, old and indifferent music from various blogs. There's a wealth of music (and some trash) to be found here.

Romantic Ballad
Walter Van Brunt, 1913
Edison 50083-
LTenor Walter Van Brunt sings Ballard McDonald and Harry Carroll's popular song of Old Virginia in the typical overwrought style of the period.
Romantic and sentimental songs were a constant on the vaudeville stage.
