Because we've been focusing (and rightly so) onthe recent terror attacks in London, we've had a chance to forget about the tropics for a while. Which is not to say I appreciate the respite caused by lunatic bombers intent on destroying freedom and freedom's peace of mind---but as a Floridian, gosh, we want to think about ANYTHING but the weather. Then there's the Western heat-wave and people suffering from record high temperatures. I know in this age of information it seems as if "it's always something." We know about the slightest blip on the screen thanks to 24/7 news networks struggling to find something to talk about to fill the hours. (Rambling more than usual, I know.)
I'm in the little truck, driving to work and what spurred me to write this morning, was the teaser from the local news radio station. "Another record. Six named storms in July!" Franklin. Let me give Brother Franklin some advice, keep moving to the northeast and DO NOT make any U-ey's. We are just NOT in the mood.
